Orient — your daily hub

Orient, your daily hub in OrientME

Orient is your home screen and the place to start each day. It pulls together everything that matters today — across tasks, routines, plans, journal, and travel — so you can plan in one place instead of hopping between sections. It’s the first thing you see after signing in.

It opens with a personal greeting — Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening, or Good night by the time of day, followed by your first name and today’s date — the same warm welcome you get on the mobile app.

Orient daily hub with the ritual bar and today’s sections

Life at a glance

Just under the greeting is a row of compact tiles — a quick pulse of your day across each area. Tap any tile to jump straight to its full section.

  • Today — your open task count, with routines and plan-item progress beneath it.
  • Wellness — today’s wellness score and how the day is reading (for example, Balanced), plus a gentle nudge such as supplements still to take, or “Tap to log your day” when nothing’s logged yet. (Web for now.)
  • Net worth — your current net worth and how it’s changed, with an eye icon to blur the number when you’re not alone. The blur stays in sync with the Finance page.
  • Cash flow — this month’s money in vs. out at a glance.

Tiles only appear for the areas you actually use, so the strip stays uncluttered — if you only use tasks, you’ll just see the Today tile.

The daily ritual bar

Three modes sit at the top:

  • Overview — the default: a calm read-out of your whole day.
  • Plan today — choose what you’ll focus on. Add or remove items under On today, drawing from overdue work and your active cycle, then click Done planning.
  • Evening shutdown — wrap up: see what you finished, carry forward open tasks to tomorrow, and write a one-line reflection that’s saved to your journal.

What Orient shows

Depending on your day, Orient surfaces sections like:

SectionWhat it shows
OverdueAnything past its deadline and still open: tasks, plan items, and reminders (each with a Today button to reschedule), plus weekly/monthly plan goals you never checked off once that week or month ended — even undated ones — and missed monthly routines (tick them off right here)
Now / nextUpcoming timed items, sorted by time
Today’s tasksTasks from the active cycle due today
Routines dueToday’s routines, tickable right here
Plan itemsItems from your plans scheduled for today
Travel contextYour active trip and what’s upcoming — see Trips
Journal promptA rotating prompt, plus an on this day look-back at past entries

Each section links out to its full page, so Orient stays a launchpad rather than a place you get stuck.

Capture without leaving

Quick capture is built right into Orient with today’s date pre-filled, so a passing thought becomes a task, note, routine, plan item, or trip idea in seconds. See Quick capture for everything it understands.

tip

Make Plan today your morning move and Evening shutdown your closer. Two minutes at each end of the day keeps the board, your routines, and tomorrow all lined up.

Orient is also the first tab in the mobile app, so the same daily hub is with you on the go.
